Matt Or Glossy: Which Paper Will Be Better For Your Brochure?

The debate is as longstanding as the technology itself: Which page will be better for your brochure glossy or matte? The right answer is that no right answeris there– counting on your design & how your brochure will be employed, either matteorglossy will prove to be the right choice for your upcoming brochure printing project.



Consumer and designers love glossy paper — it gets your full-color brochure to pop with magnificence by reflecting the light off from the paper’s surface. Deep, rich blues and blacks bounce off glossy brochures & other colors seem smoother, hotter or even splashier on glossy paper. As the paper goes, glossy paper is usually less expensive than matte & is seen by some as more professional option. That’s not every time the case, since glossy brochures do have some downsides. If they’ll be changing hands frequently or placed in aunclean area, let’s say, the coating that gives them the sheen may pick up fingerprints, dust and smudges.


By comparison, matte finishes provide a softer, glowing appeal, which is perfect for new-age designs.
